OH, cry me a river! Good grief....when will they ever get it? They want you to feel sorry for the Doctors. What about the children that have been injured? What about everything our kids have to go through but still can have normal function AND NEVER WILL! IDIOTS!!!!

That's a pretty one-sided story. Someone should email the reporter.

I would but I have to worry about our lawsuit for now. Someday I will be able to speak freely again, then watch out!

I think any of us emailing is helpful to get our side of the story out, even if it isn't the original poster and even if it is not our doctor.

I have no sympathy for this situation. Doctors have created it for themselves and continue to mislead the general public and their patients as well. They focus on "poor me" versus looking at the root of the problem and addressing it for the children's sake. SD's are one of their "biggest ob/gyn nightmares" yet so many lack basic skills needed to handle it. Plus, liability insurance has gone through the roof across the board in MANY professions, not just with the doctors and you NEVER hear a word about that.

This kinda hit a nerve so I'm gonna say my peice...If these doctors would use their commen sence and swallow their pride their wouldn't be this problem.

So here's a big "BOOHOO" for Dr. Carter!

Yes the problem is you get these OB's in an Obstetric Emergency that have only the skills they've aquired during their residency & thats it. No conferences no special training no nothing. So to think when your babies head is born & a severe SD is determined & all you have is a doctor with NO special training who has had maybe a couple SD's of this severity in their entire career if that & your babies life is in their hands its not fair & its not okay.

These doctors blame everyone else for their mistakes.
If the OB/GYN's took better care if their patients there would be lesser injuries. In my case this is true. Good-bye Dr.Carter.

I thought reporters were supposed to give an unbiased review on topics! Ugh! How maddening! There's an e-mail address at the bottom of the article. The editor certainly got a response from me!

I think Kristie has a great point, along with others. Take a quick minute to drop a note to the person who wrote this article. There are 2 sides to the story and ours is never heard. It will be a few minutes well spent.
