I had my first baby 4 years ago and she has a RBPI. I had my second via C-Section last June. He was 9.2 at 37 weeks. The C-Section was a walk in the park compared to the first delivery and my son is PERFECT. My doctor was great and when I started having bad nightmares about the delivery she let me bump up the delivery date. Best wishes to you during this wonderful yet stressful time.

Hello,
My first, son,was bpi he was 9lb 9z 22inches long at 38 weeks with apar 1 icu 7 days. I was in hospital 7 days shock and loss of blood. My second, daughter was a planned c section at 39 weeks 9lb 3oz 19 inches apar was 10! hosptial stay for me was 3 days. My new ob said decision was up to me but he wanted to do the c section before I start labor. They say the recovery for the mom is easier if it is done before labor starts also less risk of bpi if done prior to labor. I actually was in labor with her but did not feel the contracions so they paged my ob to start two hours ahead of schedule. everything went fine... congradulations and it will be much easier... try to relax...

My first child 7lbs had moderate SD..no injury. My second child 8 lbs 11ozs different OB had SD with severe Brachial Plexus. My third child was 4 weeks early at 8lbs C-Section FOR SURE! I personally though was not concerned at all with injury during a csection though they can happen they are very rare & if they do happen they are the typical stretch everyone hears alot about where the arm returns to normal within a couple weeks. I would take my chances w/ a c-section anyday over a vaginal birth.
