Roll sleeves or hem sleeves?

Post by veggiebug »

I was wondering how many people hem their sleeves. I roll mine all the time on one arm but it just falls down again. So my husband thinks I should start hemming one sleeve.

I just wondered how different people deal with this dilema.

Sometimes I roll them and sometimes I have to hem them... I love 3/4 sleeves they seem to be the best for some reason. Mine is a combination of shoulder and sleeve length... thanks for reminding me that I have gotten lazy and just roll them lately and they keep falling down. I have short arms so all sleeves are long on me but on robpi arm it is 3-1/2" shorter.

Traci,

I'm a roller. Luckily I like the casual look.
Like Kath, I prefer the 3/4 sleeves.

My left obpi arm is 6 inches shorter (actual measurement -- to allow for the elbow contracture, they measure shoulder to elbow and then, elbow to forearm).

I roll them unless it is a blazer or something that can't be rolled. And yes, they fall into everything. I don't buy flared sleeves or anthing that can't be rolled if I can help it. I love the velcro on coat sleeves that they have come up with. I am dying for a leather jacket. I can't find any way around getting the sleeve altered--which will probably cost as much as the jacket!!!!! Any ideas? Pat Q

Pat

I have a leather coat and the sleeves are rolled up... I was shocked when I put it on and it was so close to being normal.

Keep hunting for the right style

I am going to start looking for sales. I never got one because of the sleeve issue. If it looks ok with the sleeves rolled, them Im going to get one and be COOL just like you and Nancy. I love the smell of leather.
Thanks. Pat

Go shopping should be some bargins now on leather.

Do you have a super sense of smell? My family think I am nuts... I detect every smell and some I hate and some of course like leather I love... I drive them crazy when we go out... my nose is so sensitive I notice every smell and sometime have had to leave places because I can't stand the smell... LOL...
