medi-cal questions concerning bpi surgery

Has anyone been able to be treated with just calif. medi-cal, or does everyone need private insurance before these specialist in bpi will see them, Keith only has medi-cal and calif. children's services so were hoping a doctor would consider him, has anyone dealt in this situation?
