Op's 3-6 months after injury?
Re: Op's 3-6 months after injury?
I am not sure, but Dr. Nath did mine three months after surgery even when I was pregnant. I was 4 months pregnant at the time of the accident and 7 months when the surgery. What a rough time I had.

No you shouldn't be. I had mine 5 months after my accident. I'm having another one at the end of April which will make it almost 8 months.

Re: Op's 3-6 months after injury?
More and more information is coming out that the sooner the better. Muscle recovery from atrophy is a serious issue due to the duration of time it takes to get re-inervation to the atrophied muscles. There are also reports of the likelihood of diminishing pain if surgery is prior or post the six month point. Chances are 3x better of pain reduction if done prior to six months (probably due to better return of function). Anyway, if it was me, I'd be breathing down there necks to cut me up, but I'm sure someone has contradicting opinions/evidence out there. Most important, is that you've got good surgeons, bad ones won't help no matter when you get operated on. Best of luck, and I'll be rooting for you.

I'm worried about my operation. I'm supposed to have at the end of April, and that will be over 8 months. Is 2 months really that significant?
