Taping and Sensitive Skin

Post by Lisa D »

I vaguely remember a post about this awhile ago, but I don't remember the solutions. My daughter has extremely sensitive skin - we use both kinesio tape and leuko tape. The redness would last for over a week after I took the tape off. I started putting a thin layer of milk of magnesia on her skin (let it dry) and then put the tape on over that. It works beautifully - no more redness!! You can't even tell she had tape on. Just thought I'd share.

What a great idea! I can't even put a band-aid on without my skin being red. Hospital tape will actually leave blisters, when it does not actually pull skin off!
