Chiropractor question after bpi

Post by Susana »

Have you used a chiropractor after your bpi injury? Have you felt better after going to one? I used to go, but now I am scared of somebody popping my neck. What do you think?

Susana - my case is a bit different with parsonage turner... I went to the chiropractor every single day when I was in excruciating pain... it really helped - especially the heat packs he did and the intererential e-stim and ultrasound. I ended up wearing the heat packs all day and night for a while.

I think it's important to find some who is REALLY good - someone you feel comfortable with. Like any other field there are good chiropractors and quacks. There's actually a good consumer book on chiropractic - it's called INSIDE CHIROPRACTIC - written by a chiropractor - Dr. Homola. It was very interesting - helps you weed out the quacks from the ones that are really good.

good luck,

i am a chiropractor with recent bpi (3 weeks post surgery)..i have been getting worked on by an associate and it has helped immensely, but you MUST make certain to reveal your injury, and any limitations you may have, to avoid adding insult to injury..

We have John see a conservative chiropractor every week or so... We see it as "preventative maintenance" to keep back pain from developing down the road, since there are so many issues w/overuse & compensating for the flail arm.
