Julia's Surgery
Julia's Surgery
We met with Dr. Nath on the 17th of Dec. and he told us Julia is going to need at least 3 surgeries. We knew that was probably the case before we went. She has no improvement in her arm at all, just her hand and wrist. He said she has triceps but, no biceps. She is schedualed for the 30th of March. I'm praying for a miracle before then but, if not, I have faith in the Doc's. Good luck to anyone else who is coming up for surgery. Happy New Year to everyone !!!

Re: Julia's Surgery
I'll be keeping little Julia in my prayers. What coincidences -- She must be nearly the same age as my Jessica (almost 4 months old) and I assume your name is Michelle (mine is too) and Julia was our alternate name choice! Fortunately Dr. Nath confirmed Jessica doesn't need surgery, but he did say that 95% of kids that still show weakness at 3 months will need secondary surgery and perhaps one or more after that, so although we get to skip primary, she'll almost certainly need one or more others.
We are very fortunate that these surgeries exist to give our children back what the doctor's have stolen from them. Be strong and show Julia lots of love. We'll pray for her.
