leg problems?

Post by admin »

When my so stands his right leg doesnt go flat like the left. He is 9 months. As I hold his fingers, he always steps left, I have to help with the right. Does this have anything to do with his RBP injury? His toes seem to curl up.

Probably want to post this on the greneral board, you will find better advice.

If you post this on the adult/obpi board you will also get information.

OBPI often has a total body impact. My entire right side is smaller - rib cage, ear canal, eye, arm, leg but I think it depends on the injury sustained by the child.

Most times medical professionals just view the area of the bpi and treat it. However many other parts of the growing child's body are impacted by this injury and because the child is so tiny often it is not apparent until the child begins to grow and at each mile stone the impact is discovered.

I hope this helps.

Hi Kathleen,

You should take him to to see a neurologist. I'm a trauma bpi but the injury left a tear in the spinal cord and I had a fluid leakage that eventually put pressure back on the spine, causing similar symptoms your son is having, although it took almost 18 years to show up. I'm not saying he has the same problem, but it is worth looking into. My case was just pubilshed in a Spinal journal and I can get you the reference tomorrow if you like.

Henry,

How about posting that reference for all of us? Might be relevant for upcoming lawsuit.

Thanks...
