Questions for the Doc.

Post by KGGUNNS »

It's me again. The fed-up one. I am seeing the BP specialist tomorrow and wanted to know what certain questions I should be asking him regarding recovery, surgery, expectations? If some of you don't know already, I have no use at all from my elbow to my fingers. I cannot flex my elbow, wrist or fingers. I was just wandering if there are certain questions I should have prepared to ask him since some of you have had the experience. Thank you. Karen

Karen, good luck tomorrow with your appt. I can't help you with any specific questions, however, take all the information you've printed from the boards which appear relevant to your case. I hope Henry has advised you of what this Dr.is like. Hopefully Dr. Midha knows his stuff and can give you straight forward, truthful and correct information. Please keep us informed.

Good luck Karen! I too don't have specific questions to ask your doc either but I hope you have someone going along with you to listen to what the doc says. I found it overwhelming how much different information I recieved in my consultations. I was lucky to have my mom or dad there to take in the information too. If you don't have someone going with you, take notes or better yet, take a small tape recorder with you. Like I said, good luck and I'll be thinking of you.

Good luck tomorrow Karen and remember the surgeons aren't gods. they don't know everything. I had my surgeon ask me to come along to their neurology meeting of the month where about 30 all sat down and tried to diagnose me. I still haven't had a proper diagnosis, they are sending me for another MRI. They were amazed by how much I knew and kept asking me did I have a medical background. I kept saying nah just the internet. Anyhow, fingers crossed for you.
