Question for Ryan

Post by FrancineLitz »

I noticed that when you answer a previous post, the system then brings the post to the top of the list?

For example, THIS LOOKS COMPLICATED by Louise.... this was at the bottom half of the list of posts yesterday but today when I got on, it was close to the top...

I wondered: Is this a new post from Louise? and no it was not, it was the old post and someone else had added to it.

Then I noticed where my post on dislocation pain was. And I put a reply on it...and now it jumped to the top.

If every single time someone answers a post it jumps to the top...that could be quite confusing.

Do you understand what I'm trying to explain? Pick a post at the bottom and post a reply to it and go out, come back in and see where the post moves to.

one good point that the old board had was that after a while a topic would be shut down because you lost "sight" of it...it would be too many pages back so people would drop the topic.

But with this moving thing going on, topics might never die and...well you know what I mean by that.... it might not be a good thing.

anyway - just my 2 cents

I actually think this is a good thing....

It is very common in some boards, that way the "hot topics" remain available and easy to find..

Krista - I guess I am just impatient and need to take the time to get used to this! :)
