Looking for clothing after surgery:

Post by admin »

I remember reading about this subject and someone said that there is a website or forum with people who are looking to give their old clothing away to others who need it. If anyone can give me this address I will look for Ella. Her surgery is going to be coming up fast even though it isn't until Jan 22 and I want to start thinking about her clothing b/c it is going to be very cold out at that time.
Thanks!

Right now her size is between 2T and 3T. She is L-BPI.

Krista - I'll look through Maia's clothes for you and let you know what I find.

Sophie is the same size and will be just about finished with her clothing at that time, but unfortunately is RIGHT obpi! She is due for surgery in 2 weeks (yikes), and I too am not sure how it's all going to work with the winter months (and keeping in mind that she'll want to look pretty for the holidays). I've borrowed hand-me-downs froma friend who has a daughter 3 years older than Sophie, so the tops would be big enough, intending to roll up the sleeves or cut them. But, to those out there who have been through this in the winter, I would also welcome advice!

We have gotten Matthew the next size up for splints and two sizes up for the cast.

Krista - looks like I gave that size range away already. Sorry. BTW I just bought one size up at thrift stores.... that was for surgery #2... then for the next two I learned my lesson and just got t-shirts 2 sizes larger. For the coat I got a much larger fleece coat that I slit and velcro'd up the arm.
