anti-depressants

Post by admin »

I thought I would sign in as a "guest". I just got a prescription for anti-depressants this week. It seems like since my precious baby was injured unecessarily...it's been one thing after another. And to see him...so sweet and happy and unaware...and I had soooo much confidence in his doctor and his doctor had tooooo much confidence in himself...and now I feel I have to sue him and I never thought I would sue anybody and this huge heavy cloud just won't lift....sorry for rambling...I am grateful for this forum and for your examples and strength.

I hear you so loud and clear!
I too am going thru the same thing right now. My OB has/had been in my family for years. Now I must do what I need to do. I feel horrible for doing that but mostly I feel horible when I see my baby struggle to do what "normal armed" babies do with ease. On a good note, the antidepressants do work really well. Been on them on and off for a while now. Good luck!

Ditto about the anti-depressants. They really helped me get through a rough period. I just got off them so I will see how I handle things. My daughter is now struggling with daily self-help stuff (dressing/undressing, feeding herself with her affected arm, etc.) that we just got an OT to help her with but it is so hard to watch her get so frustrated. What also helped me was talking to a psycologist that was provided by EI and this board! Keep coming here for support because you are definitely not alone.

So your on anti-depressants? You say you are pregnant? I was taking them when I found out I was pregnant. Welbutrin is the safest, but I got off them four months into it. Try not to take them. My son ended up with erbs. It probably had nothing to do with meds.
