Anyone here from NJ?

Post by Jazzie »

My daughter is having her 1st surgery on 9/25 in Boston.
We are from Northern NJ and are looking for info on a good, no great, post op therapist in North Jersey who actually knows what he or she is doing when it comes to this type of injury. Thanks

I live in Hillsborough NJ and I was referred to a great doctor and therapist in NJ. The therapist has 20 years experience with BPI children. I emailed Dr. Nath and he spoke very highly of both the doctor (Dr. DeSouza) and the therapist (Cindy Servello). They are located in Morristown. Their phone number is 973-993-8777.
Both Dr. DeSouza and Cindy work out of the same office.

I actually don't have much experience to share with this since my daughter is only 3 weeks old. I can just tell you that they came highly recommended by my pediatrician and they special in brachial plexus injuries and were recognized and recommended by Dr. Nath as well. Good luck.

We are from Central NJ. Middlesex County in Piscataway. Dr. DeSouza was Michael's neurologist for the first three years and Kathy Ress was Michael PT for three years. Ciny Servello knows Kathy very very well. Cindy is an awesome, aswesome therapist and so is Kathy. They definately know their stuff. Michelle, the next time you see Cindy mention Kathy Ress's name. I am glad to hear Cindy is up and about. She is a cancer survivor to and was going through treatment while Kathy was Michael's therapist.

I live in Parsippany. My daughter is almost 5 and has been seeing Cindy Servello for about 4 1/2 years. Cindy works out of Dr. DeSouza's office in Morristown and also sees patients in Succasunna. She is extremely knowledgeable about BPI. She has seen children with spontaneous recovery, children with secondary surgery only, and children who needed two or more surgeries. She works with insurance companies. She calls the surgeons when she has questions. Above all, she is great with kids.
