miami bp program
Just wondering if anyone has been to Miami for a first or second opinion. We got back from TCH last week and they recommended the modquad, and I would like to get a second opinion, for peace of mind. When I called and talked to the coordinator she recommended some alternatvie treatments, such as casting and botox injections. Has anyone had any success with these? We are scheduled for surgery on Jan 7 and I anm just wondering if I should make the trip to Miami for a 2nd opinion or just go with TCH suggestions. Thanks for any feedback.

MY DAUGHTER HAD SURGERY WITH DR GROSSMAN IN MIAMI. I REALLY LIKE HIM A LOT. AT A BPI PICNIC TCH ALSO SUGGESTED THAT SHE NEEDS THE MODQUAD. I JUST VISITED DR. GROSSMAN THIS PAST WEEK AND HE REALLY LIKES WHAT PROGRESS SHE HAS MADE. I AM GOING TO HOLD OFF ON ANY OTHER SURGERIES UNTIL DR GROSSMAN SAYS ANYTHING ELSE. FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ME IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS.

Re: miami bp program
I used Grossman for the first opinion and TCH for the second- They both advised me to have nerve grafting done asap when Max was aprox 5 mos- I declined, we have not seen Grossman since- His OT Lorna Ramos was very involved with e-stim at that time(that was in 99-we declined that also)and seemed very knowledgeable in that area- I found Miami to be as much surgery oriented as Texas so if you were looking for a more conservative approach/view point I would suggest going elsewhere- but if you want surgery- Miami seems quite reputable ,capable and has a good solid track record- are you in S Florida already? if so, drop me an email, I am on the treasure coast- m
