balloon therapy...

I just wanted to share an idea I came up with a short time ago. I bought a balloon for my 2 year old daughter and she wanted Ella to see it. I placed the string of the balloon into her injured arm's hand and it encouraged Ella to move her arm. Ella only has limited amount of movement in her arm so anything I could do to encourage more movement works for me. I thought it was a fun idea to keep a balloon handy for her to play with. She loves to hold it in her hand and try to move her arm to see the balloon float up and down. Of course this will only be good for those of you with very young children since their toys that could be used for therapy are much more limited than those of the older children. Just thought this was a cute idea to share. =)
