Re: Interesting Page on delivery
it's very incomplete
- doesn't talk about risk factors at all
- they're missing a few maneuvers...

This appears to be the method my o.b. was using. What maneuvers are missing? Is there a link to more detailed information?

When my d-i-l was in labor the baby kept going into distress..decellerating. The nurses had her get into the all fours position and it relieved the stress on the baby and the heart patterns returned to normal and his momma felt a lot less back and bottom pressure. Later she said it did indeed feel like he was going to just drop out without a problem. The Dr. arrived within minutes and had her turn and she asked to stay that way but he wanted to use the vacuum and he didn't want to see her in that position. She said given the choice she will deliver in the all four position with the new expected one if allowed.

- Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.
