What exactly is a modquad?

I'm new to the forum and am steadily deciphering the abbreviations from past postings. Can someone tell me what the modquad is?

Texas Childrens Hospital has coined the name "Mod Quad" for a specific secondary surgery they do which involves a specific set of muscle-tendon transfers & releases and axillary nerve decompression. It is done to allow the arm to have better upward range of motion (hand over head) and better other motions as well. Sometimes they do all (the 4) and sometimes they do less, and sometimes they do more... it all depends on each child. Each child is different.

It takes care of many of the muscle imbalances in the shoulder. The hope is that if done young, the child will have a better chance of creating a more normalized joint. And if done older, the person will have greater movement and function. They are doing it on people of all ages.

ok... So Brianna is having "a soft tissue release of anterior structures, as well as a tendon transfer (latissimus and teres) to the greater tuberosity."

Am I correct in stating that this is NOT "CAPS" and NOT "mod quad"?

it's not a caps but it contains portions of what's included in TCH's mod quad
