So since our Wednesday night chats have been going so well and it's proving to be an asset to everyone, a donation was made by someone to get a better working chat room.
Here are some of the changes:
The member name is nice because it's not cut in stone - if your child's age changes, well then just type it in that way. It's long enough to type in the months too...so if you have a 7 month old you can say SallySuzie7mos if you want.
The room can be set up for moderation so that we can have a speaker come and it can be a very organized event with one person at a time given permission to ask a question. This was a BIG plus because I'd like to have a speaker come once a month for different topics.
The maximum allowed in the room is 50 - but gosh if we go above 20 our heads will be spinning anyway.
You can change the color on your own screen and also the text size.
It will be a passworded room - so it can stay as it was intended to be - no on can come in and just read . You will need an entrance key and our entrance process is still secure.
You can make the screen as large as you want - fill the whole monitor up if you wish.
It supports private chatters.
So - let's try it out tonight and see how it goes!

Louise, Carole's right! It's easy and this new chat room is even easier. It's open all the time so just go in there and type - you'll figure everything out in about 30 seconds....ok so you're a bit slow? 40 seconds!!

yes - you sign in every time which is actually a nice thing so that you can change your member name as your child gets older!
