HELP! I want to go to camp! :-)

I havent thought about much lately but Megan's surgery at TCH. Now that it is over I really would love to go to Camp with Megan. Megan is 7 and has LOBPI. I have never been to a UBPN camp, to be embarassingly honest, I havent ever traveled! I looked up flights on the compuserve travel website and southwest airlines. It looks to me like the travel time one way is 6-8 hours from Houston-Hobby. And the lowest prices are $146/ person per way!!! I would definatly need to apply for a scholorship, our family of 8 falls way under guidelines. So.... I quess my question is.... Am I looking in the right places for low airfare? Do you have any tips? How long till I know about if I am eligable for a scholarship so I can try to raise the airfare? Is anyone else from Houston, Texas going?? Hope to see you all there. Sandi

You'll want to apply for scholarship as soon as possible. Deadline is on Saturday, May 31 (this week). Please send in your paperwork. We'd love to consider all possible applicants.

Have you received Outreach? There are telephone numbers in Outreach for airfare assistance from the major airlines for medical care. Perhaps contacting them, or Tami Schenck, UBPN Wings Program Chair, would be helpful to you?

Again, please apply for scholarship and do it soon, before the deadline this weekend. Your paperwork needs to be received in the UBPN office by Saturday. Please contact me with any questions: cathy@ubpn.org.
