Hand specialist?

Has anyone taken their child to see a "hand specialist"? There doesn't seem to be any hand specialists at the BP clinics (does anyone know of one?) I'm wondering if a general pediatric hand specialist would have any insight into the issue. Perhaps I'm barking up the wrong tree, but I'm having a hard time accepting that there's nothing that can be done for my child's hand. He's got a very weak hand, no grip strength, no dexterity, yet he's not a candidate for the gracilis transfer because he has "too much".

Isn't Dr. Klebuc - (gracilis doc) a hand specialist?
Also I think that Susan Mackinnon (St. Louis) is a hand specialist. Dr. Kozin in Phila is a hand specialist if I remember correctly reading his background.

Dr. Ann Van Heest of Gillette Children's in St. Paul MN is a hand surgeon. She treats children with arthrogryposis as well as BPI kids.

Dr. Hentz at Stanford runs the Hand Clinic at Stanford, where all the BPI patients go.

I know that DR Waters is a specialist for hand surgery along with Brachial Plexus and all upper extremity surgeries. Not sure if that makes him a hand specialist...but I would think so. =)
