Bad Burning in fingers!!

I had a motorcycle accident about 9 years ago. I lost 45% of the use in my arm. Ever since my thumb & pointer fingers have a very bad burning & stabbing feeling in them 24 hours a day. I was hoping to find someone that had this or still has this problem & what they are doing to comfort the pain some. I also can not make a fist with out them just killing me. I have never had surgury, back at the time doctors said it was to risky & I could lose what I already got back. I just found this web site and want to know if there are any surguries that might help. I know it has been years since my accident & am not sure if it is too late now.

I have TBPI from surgery in 2000. Had the same stingers--- Finally got neurologist to prescribe neurotin--- It works! Gradually up the dose until you find the most benefit!

Does not make me sleep-- I can work and not suffer.

I have had no side effects from it-- review the board -- others have had some problems and others use other drugs


The other problem I have is the "cold" hand-- I use a cotton work glove to "superheat" the hand so it thinks it is ok.
