Just thought I would share a running brace that I use. I have 100% shoulder function and can swing my arm as normal but hardily any bicep to support the lifting of the forearm/hand. Its an old brace I used to wear playing rugby league. It doesn't hurt my neck as it spreads the weight across my shoulders and not on my neck as slings used to. Below is the link. Basically everyone will have to modify to suit the individual but I cut 1 arm piece off and loop the BPI side inside and slip loop over my hand. In the running motion position and off I go.

Sorry to be clearer. I pass under the shoulder strap and over the chest strap near the velcro.
