Putting headphones on

Post by grbp »

Hi there, this is so dumb, I didn't ever imagine this would be my first post on this forum, but... Since my TBPI in 2010 I've made a fool of myself approx 5000 times trying to get my headphones on without looking like a prat. If it matters, they are Sennheiser HD25-iis and there ain't no way I'm going to change them for something else. So has anyone got a method they use for easily getting headphone on one-handed, first time every time?

Earbuds. I've come to find out in time that our embarassment of our arms is mostley in our heads. People don't really notice like we think they do.

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: Hi, my name is John and I received a brachial plexus injury trying to take out a tree on my Grizzly June 9th 2012. Unfortunately, the tree won and killed my atv. I will be having a ct mylogram done next week to determine extent of damage. It's been a rough 3 months adjusting without the use of my right arm. your lifestyle changes so abrubtly and I find it very difficult to function. I'm 47 years old and welcome any insight and guidance about this injury. I've been a carpenter for many years and never really appreciated the use of two arms until now. We take so much for granted until something traumatic occurs. If anyone knows of any good doctors specializing in Brachial Plexus injuries, feel free to post them for me. I live in northern New York and have yet to find any up here.

I found if you set them on one ear first then stretch over the head, it seems to work. Similar to that guy on the commercial selling that contraption that held your cellphone to your head leaving both hands free.

I have high end headphones too (Grado SR225) and I usually place them on my neck and then slide each ear on. It usually works for me, takes a little practice though.
