New guy in Monterey Ca

Post by Sparky »

Hey all I'm new to the board and would like to introduce myself. My name is Eric and I am an Electrical contractor in Monterey Ca. I was in a motorcycle accident on August 28 2011, I suffered several severe injuries, but the lasting one is my brachial plexus injury, I suffered a stretch at c5&c6 abd breaks t c1,c2,and c7. I have regained about 20% of evarm to date, (can lift against he body at he elbow to a 90 degree but I have nothing at the bicep or deltoid so the shoulder drops out of the socket. I would love to hear from others in my area, as well as from any one with advice for an uninsured person attempting all rehab at home.

Sorry to hear about your motorcycle accident ,i too have loss of deltoid and bicep, you will find a lot of good info on this forum ,i too am new to this site, but have found it very helpfull, especially mentally,i cant offer any suggestions about the uninsured part, since mine happened at work, however, you will find lots of useful info searching the threads, exercise everyday, ball on the wall exercises, pool exercises have been extremely helpfull for me ,it stops the pain, and for god's sake see a BPI specialist as soon as possible,i am still waiting and it's been 16 mos for me,do whatever it takes to see a specialist. you will find lots of support here from people going through the same trials and tribulations you are.
