Alexyss's surgery

Alexyss has just come home from the hospital from the bone infection surgery. She has a shunt that has to be kept in for 3 weeks until her antibiotics are done. Then, we have to go to outpatient surgery to get it removed. Her BPI arm is so swollen! I just hope this doesn't happen again. They can't find the reason as to what this infection is caused from. The ortho said it can happen to fractured or broken bones; maybe she was hurt more than a X-ray could see? Hope everyone is doing well and happy holidays!

This must have been and probably is still so scary for all of you. I will keep you in our prayers in hopes that all goes well until the shunt is gone and she is totally healed.
