Hey Everyone!
Well it has been just over 3 years since my injury, which occurred December 3, 2008 which was due to a surgery for those that don't know.
I finally got my information about my medical malpractice lawsuit!
It went through the Indiana Medical Review Board - 3 doctors review it. 2 were in favor of malpractice and 1 stated it was not. Therefore it will go to trial. My pretrial date is in July and my actual trial is August 22nd.
Unfortunately I have been on Medicaid Disability for counseling related to it all and they also want money due to all of this as they have been paying for the counseling and so with 40% going to my lawyer, each medical review doc getting so much, and expert witness getting so much, and me already paying a ton of medical bills - looks like not much will come out of this to make up for what I did have to pay in medical bills and all the time I lost in school that I had to make up for but I guess it is the principal of the matter anyway!

- Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: RTBPI - injured during a right cervical rib resection on 12/3/2008 for thoracic outlet syndrome. The doctor completely transected the lateral cord at C5-C6 Erb's pointe and the suprascapular nerve. Had a nerve repair done on 12/12/2008 to reattach the nerves. Did two years of OT. I have some issues with overuse issues with my left shoulder and also have come to find that my joints are hypermobile so I have instability in the joints which causes a lot of problems such as pressure and pain.
