Saw it posted on FB that Joel Rosinbum just won the the overall and obviously the arm category in the Madrid Paratriathlon World Championship.
He has been training really hard and it paid off. The amazing thing is that he won the overall, means he beat the leg amputees, which is really hard for us "wingers" because they can swim so much faster. I will see if I can get him to post the details here and if I can get the timing splits for each section.
For those who don't know, we not only now have a mens world champion paratriathlon, we also have the womens USA national champion paratriathlete. Both amazing athletes and not letting their injury slow them down, in fact, they are excelling.
Way to go Joel.

Re: BPI Wins Madrid Paratriathlon World Championship
Well, actually its a World Cup not a world championship but either way its pretty freaking cool.
I wrote up a race report here if anyone is interested: http://www.leftarmbandit.org/2011/06/it ... -2011.html
Cheers,
Joel
