Can anyone answer these questions for me?

Post by Natec5172 »

Hi im new here. Let me explain myself 1st. I was born on february 4th, 1994. my mom says that i couldn't move my left arm, and it was "stuck" to my body. I've came along way, but now my injury is really coming to light. I can't move my palm up, and i can't fully extend my arm to the side.i can't do normal things with my left, like flex, or even something as simple as brushing my teeth or Punching. i also have a LARGE arm imbalance. My right arm(mostly bicep) is way bigger then my left. Here's the questions that i have. 1: what is the name for my exact injury? and also, is it too late for surgery or anything? im 17 now. And ive been working out my left, but i don't notice much improvement. Will my arms ever equal out? im very self conscious about it, and because of it, i don't wear muscles shirts or swim, and people are noticing and i hate it. Than k you!

First off your doing GREAT ;) I am on the adult forum, Please ask your question and read posting there about possible current Treatment  , from ladies with Bpi injuries. :D

Saying that, My Erbs , Broken scapula , broken elbow at birth 61 years ago, Never did get treatment but reading posting on the other board, I am in :o , Really , I fell like back from the future  I never can understand why Doctors say ( you maybe to late to get treatment, Really there is postings like this  Its really important not to give that a second thought that is NOT TRUE!! , See a doctor that can improve your limitation even SOME in your life time  Remember treatment by FACT change over time, Remember Back From the Future it true I lived it for SURE :o :D . I think one hand over the years it just happens  Your good arm does get bigger for sure,Its a good thing for lifting and doing daily activity or sports, ETC, of course I drove !8 wheeler around Chicago for 25 years with erbs never got in a wreck , came close many times on ice  I have become a Padi Master Diver for 20 years and drove a Motor cycle with ERS, limited range of hand strong grasp over time ,my Lift and reach is about 10 in, That the most I got in My left, You will learn to adapt to things more as your brain thinks one handed or you will find new treatments over time for sure, Maybe it is a outcome I only have without treatment  ?????? I dont think so

Please do read the posting of Adult ladies adjusting to BPI, you might even try your question again there?? ;) They have had many surgeries and treatment, Maybe they can help yoU  :D I guess if you ask 3 times you got me. I am never on this board ?? Some question like this one need to cross boards to reach out??? ;) Well, thats my thoughts ;) :D Hope it help???
