She's widely regarded as one of the leaders in the BPI field in this country. She's published a ton and trained some of the "big name" doctors in this country; she tends to be more famous with medical professionals as she doesn't seem to put a lot of energy into directly soliciting or networking with patients or patients groups. She's done nerve surgery and BPI treatment at Washington University Hospital since the 1980s and is tremendously experienced. You can't go wrong getting her opinion.

Kate said it all, and I agree. I am in St. Louis and have met her and several from her team. She is very knowledgeable and personable. Here is more information about her if you haven't been to the site already. http://www.surgery.wustl.edu/cv.aspx?drid=66

WOW!!! i went to my appointment yesterday and i am sooo happy i got to see her. i would have had a surgery that would have made me no better off than what i am now. the EMG i had done was not done right. wrong diagnosis. my upcoming surgery here in my area has been cancelled. she is taking over my case and i am so excited about seeing someone that knows what they are doing. the stretched brachial plexus nerve is the problem. not the ulnar entrapment.
yes, she is very good. there are some people on here that gave me the impression that she did not have a good bedside manner. i find that not true at all. she kept her focus on what needed to be done. no, there was no chit-chat or "friendly conversation", but she was very personable. she was very kind, caring, and considerate of me as a patient.

I'm so glad it went well and was worth the visit! Thanks very much also for reporting back. I've found that people's ideas of "bedside manner" vary as much as people do :) I'm glad to hear your feedback, and super glad you aren't going to have an unnecessary surgery!!
