when i was 15-17 i'd commonly have shoulder/ scapula pain, it felt like that part of my arm was on fire. it was incredibly painful. i used to alternate between hot and cold compresses and take pain meds and that would usually do the trick. it sometimes flares up when i'm standing for long periods of time or running

Re: 17 YO girl with severe pain
I would suggest she see a PT and OT, to try to figure out what makes it worse and how she can change the way she does certain movements. A lot of the pain may be due to muscle strain.
