problems with Erb's palsy and weight lifting

Post by pepper0472 »

Hello,
I have Erb's palsy (left arm). I find it difficult to use weights when I exercise. I am trying to get sculpted arms, but I have trouble lifting weights with my left arm. Have any of you found easier arm exercises for people with Erb's palsy? Thanks

this may or may not help, but my OT takes an ace bandage and wraps my weight to my hand because it falls on the floor if i am not palm up. it helps a lot.

Hey,

What part are you having trouble with? Is it holding the weight or a certain movement that you are struggling with?

I have been doing weights for a fair while and have picked up a bit through trial and error.

Cheers

I cannot stand using weights. I get too frustrated because I don't have the strength or stability in my arm to do it. I really enjoy swimming though, and I think it is a really good arm exercise.
