Dating

Post by erica »

Hi all!
Just a quick question. Ièm going to be asking a guy out on a date and I am plumb out of ideas for a date. We both have problems with our right arms. His is from cerebral palsy. We both don't drive. Him as he is epileptic. Anyways It will be in a small town. Not to mention it's winter here. There are several restaraunts, a theatre, a carriage museum, temple(We're both LDS and can go, but he goes everyday it's not closed). There are hills we could go sledding on, but my sister is doing that for her date. So what I was thinking is going out for lunch, then to the carriage museum. Hmmmm.......I don't know. Any ideas out there. Oh and the cheaper the better.
Thanx, erica

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: LOBPI. I am 77 yrs old and never had a name for my injuries until 2004 when I found UBPN at age 66.

My injuries are: LOBPI on upper body and Cerebrael Palsy on the lower left extremities. The only intervention I've had is a tendon transplant from my left leg to my left foot to enable flexing t age 24 in 1962. Before that, my foot would freeze without notice on the side when wearing heels AND I always did wear them at work "to fit in" I also stuttered until around age 18-19...just outgrew it...no therapy for it. Also suffered from very very low self esteem; severe Depression and Anxiety attacks started at menopause. I stuffed emotions and over-compensated in every thing I did to "fit in" and be "invisible". My injuries were Never addressed or talked about until age 66. I am a late bloomer!!!!!

I welcome any and all questions about "My Journey".

Hi Erica,
YOur Idea of lunch and Museum is good for a 1st date...if the museum is expensive to get in, then a matinee movie instead. Last matinee time is usually 5PM here in WA state anyway. After lunch look into free stuff around your city as Christmas season usually has freebies of events...perhaps a music venue you do not have to order an alcohol beverage usually.

Good for you for asking him out! We have to take risks sometimes :P
