My daughter complains of hip pain when she runs
My daughter (injured during delivery) is 13 years old. In P.E. she's required to run the mile. She complains that her hip hurts when she runs. Could it be the WAY she is running? I'm concerned that her limited arm mobility affects her stride in a negative way. She recently had x-rays and everything looks normal. Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated!

1 surgery at age 14 (latissimus dorsi transfer). In 2004, at age 28 I was struck with Transverse Myelitis which paralyzed me from the chest down. I recovered movement to my right leg, but need a KAFO to walk on my left leg. I became an RN in 2008. - Location: Montreal, Qc, Canada

I would get her to a physiatrist, they specialize in rehab medicine/sports medicine. They may be able to give you more insight, they can check her gait. OT or PT as well, can do this.
