need e-stim info

Post by hope16_05 »

Hey all, I am completeing my level 2 feildwork for occupational therapy and I have an assignment from my facility to research a modality that they currently use. I chose e-stim and I know that 6 years ago I found an article listing some of the history of e-stim. I am wondering if anyone has access to that article and could email me at hope16_05@yahoo.com
Thanks so much,

no external rotation against gravity, can only go to 90 degree fwd flexion, no hand-to-mouth
1 surgery at age 14 (latissimus dorsi transfer). In 2004, at age 28 I was struck with Transverse Myelitis which paralyzed me from the chest down. I recovered movement to my right leg, but need a KAFO to walk on my left leg. I became an RN in 2008.

I may have access to some of them. Email Kate too, she usually has a way of getting things :)

Thanks Marieke, it does not appear to be any of those :( The only thing remotely close was on wikipedia and I cant use that as a reference. I am looking for infor about who and when it was developed, what it became popular for (if I remember right it was the russians who popularized the use for training their athletes)

I am at work and do not have any access to email until I get home, but I can access everyone through here :)
Thanks again,
Amy
