- Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: My son was born At Parrish Medical Center in Titusville,Fla.After becoming stuck in the birth canal A doctor(any doctor)was paged 911.Believe it or not There was NO Obgyn on staff to preform a delivery,so a midwife and one other nurse had to deliver my son.He suffered 2 torn nerves and came out lifeless...
We see Dr.Grossman In Miami along with Dr.Price.He has had a nerve transfer in 2010,A round of botox and a recasting in 2011 and now we will having another round of botox in which we pray no cast will be needed. He is a smart handsome little boy who has come so far and everyday I feel he's improving! - Location: Port Saint John,Florida

Our son too only has movement below the mouth,JAnuary 6th marks a year of his first and only surgery.Which has me a little worried now that he will need more.Everyday is a milestone and a walk down a new path and for your kids..it's one always worth walking Take care and enjoy what miracles are happening around you

Re: a MIRACLE...
when i saw this post I thought it was a different paula but its me! and what a coincidence this is from 06 and i barely decide to come back to this board after a long absence. Aaron has since lost overhead because of another dislocation due to this same surgery i was so happy about. I had asked for the anterior capsule release to be done and all she did was going in and stretch it so after a few months it went back to its original status and he dislocated again and yes he was in formal thereapy at the time but i tool him back to Dr Nath and he performed his last surgery and (knock on wood) his humeral head is still in place after 2 years BUT he has no more overhead. I wouldnt let anyone other than a very experienced surgeon do a nerve transplant on my child Amy. And from what i remember Dr Gogola was a new surgeon to BPIs. But this is just my opinion
