Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: We are a very proactive team of clinicians and specialists conducting reach and grasp studies that will provide more information regarding treatment methodology, and recovery.

We are looking for a population of infants up to 6 months old, to participate in our research study. The study takes about an hour 1/2 and can be done at Jefferson in Philadelphia or your location if it is not too far.

We really need your assistance. If you know of a physician or therapist who could provide us with contacts, the impact of our study will prove to be significant for all of us.

The lead investigator is Susan Duff, Edd, OTRL, MPT, who has published many articles and has made presentations regarding our research at various professional conferences and meetings.
Please feel free to Email us if you would like additional information and perhaps provide us with contacts that could provide us with additional subjects.

Post by AMKimbel »

We are a proactive team of specialists at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania examining neural recovery and the development of reach to grasp skill in infants who sustained brachial plexus injury. We hope that this research will lead to advanced treatment strategies that will not only hasten recovery but will ultimately lead to better upper limb function. The lead investigator for this work is Susan Duff, EdD, PT, OTRL, CHT, who has more than twenty years of experience working with this population.

If you are a parent / guardian of an infant 3 months of age or younger or are a cliniician currently servicing this population we would like to speak to you further about our study. For more information please contact us by phone at 215-503-1644 or by email at andrew.kimbel@jefferson.edu or susan.duff@jefferson.edu.
