Doctor NY
Any suggestions for doctors to see in New York to diagnose brachial plexus birth injury. My pediatrician has confirmed my feeling that my 13 week old son needs to see specialist and start therapy. Thank you.

Re: Doctor NY
I am in Upstate NY near Albany, we travel to Philidellphia to see Dr. Kozin at Shriners for treatment of my 8 month old Daughter. Or you could go to Dr. Waters in Boston.

You didn't say where you were in NY, but if you are downstate, go see Dr. Andrew Price. You can find his information (and all the other docs) on our website at the resources tab. Price is in downtown manhattan, west side. If your child needs primary, he works with Grossman out of Miami Children's. Price did one of my daughter's surgeries.
However, I also recommend getting at least 3 opinions. If you are downstate, the trip to Philly to see Scott Kozin is an easy one. Shriner's is an amazing hospital and Kozin is a fabulous guy.
As well, Peter Waters at Children's Hospital Boston is another great guy.
Down in Baltimore is Alan Belzberg, he's a neurosurgeon.
Please, please go to our Medical Resources page. The doctors have filled out a questionnaire that will give you more information about them. Please start making appointments, 13 weeks is a lot of time. All of the docs are very "user friendly" and will answer emails and phone calls. Let them all know how old your baby is...
good luck,
keep asking questions and let us all know how things go.
