Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: My 12 yr old daughter Arianna is the one with the injury. She has LOBPI. No surgeries I also have a 7 yr old son Branden but he doesn't not have the injury, I had a C-section with him.
Just wanted to say Hello to everyone . I am a single mom with 2 great, beautiful kids, Arianna 12 yrs old with LOBPI and Branden 7 yrs old no injury. My name is Tracy and we live in toronto,ontario Canada. I am a daycare teacher. Just hoping to meet some old friends and hopefully some new ones. I would love to meet another family that lives close by so my daughter can meet another child with the same injury as her,just so she doesn't feel alone. Hope to get to know some of you. Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: LOBPI no external rotation against gravity, can only go to 90 degree fwd flexion, no hand-to-mouth 1 surgery at age 14 (latissimus dorsi transfer). In 2004, at age 28 I was struck with Transverse Myelitis which paralyzed me from the chest down. I recovered movement to my right leg, but need a KAFO to walk on my left leg. I became an RN in 2008.
