Google & Bing does not help that much...most searches leads to the UK or States

I did a quick search and found a Dr. in South Africa in Cape Town. His name is R.S. Boome, and has been doing Brachial plexus surgeries for many years and is a recognized specialist.

Dr R. S. Boome, Suite 217, Constantiaberg Medi-Clinic, Burnham Road, Plumstead 7800, Cape Town, Republic of South Africa.
Burnham Road, Plumstead 7800
P O Box 179, Plumstead 7800
Tel: +27 21 799 2911
24 Hour Emergency Centre: +27 21 799 2196

I am not sure if he still practices, however, I would bet they have a Brachial Plexus clinic and at the very least could provide some direction

If you do a search you will see that he is well published. This particular journal discusses Brachial plexus surgery in South Africa!

When you do go to the clinic, please let us know how it works out :?: You should know that a lot of people have that lack of coverage issue. Then there is me and others who will try to help you to adapt and overcome by sharing what they did from life experance with there limiation. I guess what I want to say is there is always someone that will reach out to try to help. stay in touch ;)

Granville,
I know here at least many hospitals have in their budget to provide a certain level of charity care annually. Couldn't hurt to at least call that doc and discuss it. You never know what might happen.
Robert - LTBPI/34/AL - Yamaha meets Ford Expedition....not good.
