Tendon Transfer stories...

Hi Everyone,

I haven't posted for a really long time. My daughter Cassidy has a ROBPI. Cassidy has had primary surgery at age 9 months. She is now 3.5 and her specialist is starting to talk tendon transfer. Cassidy's injury included C5 C6 and C7 involvement. Ruptures of the C5 and C6 and an avulsion of the C7.
I am trying to gather information about this procedure...I was hoping that some people here who have experienced this surgery either personally or through their child, would be willing to share their story. Pro's and Con's, if you would do it again, function gained..or lost...etc.

this is the same injury that Juliana has. She had the mod quad.

there are pros and cons to each surgery and different ways that each surgeon does the surgeries. get three opinions. and now they have the acr. i wish that had been around for julie...

it takes time and energy to get the opinions, but if you check the med resource page you'll find the email addresses of the docs. i find that most are really email-friendly.
