Hello all,
Did anyone happen to see the medical drama called Presidion Med this past Friday night on CBS? It centered around an OB and a resident doctor that encountered a shoulder dystocia during a delivery. During the delivery the resident used traction on the baby's head with the macroberts manuever. There was no mention of Brachial Plexus injury (total missed opportunuity to inform the public). But, what really shocked me was the conversation after delivery between the OB and the resident. The resident says something like " I was really scared during that SD"... and the OB replies " It's amazing the amount of force you need to apply "...refering to the traction that was placed on baby's head to free him. WHAT??? Did she say what I think she did. I really thought this show misrepresented what should have been done to safelt deliver baby. Did anyone else see this and have comment? I have never seen this show befor I just happend to be changing channels when this scene caught my attention.

there's a feedback link at the bottom and you can file a complaint with the executive producers.
I just wrote mine. Let's get all of writing in if we can.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention!

Just bumping this up to the top. I followed Fran's link and made my comments. Maybe if they get enough feedback they will do their research!
