Hi Francine!

My experience as a finnish mom is that there is no such thing than thin and warm glowes :o)

I know some moms in here use mittens made out of silk underneath other mittens.

Most important thing is that the mitten stays dry inside...

Suvi really does not use her hand much when playing outdoors at wintertime, because she really has to use good gloves...

It can get "little" cold here in Finland you know :o)

I have to laugh at all these post. Here I am in Florida and our weather has been so crazy. This morning at 7 a.m. it was 55 degrees but at 3 this afternoon it was 47. Going backwards. In the morning we are expecting upper 20's and our first freeze.Last week 2 days in a row, our high for the day was 56-58 degrees and in North Dakota the highs were 68-69 degrees. I think God's playing jokes.
Michaela wears a fleece set of mittens which have worked out nice, but we don't have to worry about cold and wet together. She even keeps it on all day at school, on her LBPI hand, and has no problems. It comes home with glue and everything else on it but as long as her hand is warm, I figure it goes in the wash like everything else.
God Bless everyone and keep warm or cool, whichever one you need, Arizona!LOL,LOL

Louise, Have Bob help you keep warm under those covers! Isn't it funny the things we have in common? I worked in grocery stores for 18 years before I had Michaela. It's hard work, more than most people realize!

Ahh Louise...the fatigue we can relate to. BUT it still feels nice to just be snuggle bunnies on a good cold night. Don't tell my hubby but sometimes I will open the window a tiny bit just so he'll get cold enough to snuggle. I think housecleaners might make more than a second job would pay me with all the "free" time I have for one..
