Oh, Rich, you are too kind. This guy is so much more than an idiot...but I am too much a lady to use language that adequately describes him.

His "scientific" methods would fail in a high school science class. Oh, these doctors, they are amazing.

I hope no one takes offence to my bluntness, but here it goes anyway. Under this pretense of a woman's uterus causing such an injury during contractions; I feel it's like this...

If a womans uterus can cause such an injury with such strong contractions when delivering a baby, can that force be the same with her vagina during orgasm, and if so, why would a man put his penis inside?

Now, I can't speak for you guys, but if my vagina grabed my husbands penis like that....it would have probably been his last....

Patty - LOL - a long time ago there was a post about this very thing...something about Killer Vaginas... you reminded me. Thanks for the chuckle.

I'm just trying to visualize how a uterine contraction might cause a bpi. There is the head and there is the body and there is this teeny tiny neck right smack inbetween and with babies - well there's very little neck cuz of all the flesh in there anyway. So the uterus is contracting around the head and the body. But in the area of the neck -is it as tiny as the neck and it's contracting around this little neck?? NOT!! So what are they saying - that the head is cocked into lateral traction in the uterus itself or in the vagina?

Patty, I am totally cracking up!!! Was not at all prepared for that but it totally makes sense to me!!! My husband laughed and rolled his eyes- lol!!

This is what was used against us in our trial, that my contractions caused her injury and the stupid jury (sorry) bought it. Plus the doctor made such a sob case. We were prepared for this defense and had read it all but thought a jury would have used common sense. Guess not. When it is presented in a scientific way by doctors, lay people will believe it. This is what is causing most lost litigation (or LIEtigation). The doctor even admitted to the jury to making $500 an HOUR for testifying against us with these lies. Furthermore, there is stats provided with injuries caused in utero by Gherman (thanks, Rich, for finding his name and sorry I thought you were an intruder- you never know and I am still bitter over our loss).
I find this info to be just plain BS!! I worked in the newborn nursery for almost 3 years as a nurse and I think in that 3 years time we saw 2 obpi out of the 3000 babies born there a year. If OBPI's were caused from contractions, the stats would be higher, evidence would be shown by the numbers, ob doctors would be educating about it, and pediatricians would be more familiar with it!!
JUST ONE QUESTION TO THINK ABOUT: if these injuries were caused by intrauterine forces, then why the hell arn't doctors educating about this as potential birth complications instead of not saying anything and then saying something about it after it does happen??? I say they are covering their ^%%$# with this BS about intrauterine forces!! If they really wanted to cover their ^%$$&, they would talk about it before hand- makes no sense to me!!

When I signed off and went into my living room my husband was sitting and asked me the usual question,"..anything good on the board..." I was still grinning then procceded to tell him my little story about my post. For the first time in a long time he was speechless. It either flew completely over his head or he truely had nothing to say, but first he had to pick his jaw up off the floor. LOL

Our lawyer said they are and will write books (articles) that say what they want it to say (regardless of the truth) so when it comes to the doc's defense, they can say - "Look - here it is - this guy says so". It's all a bunch of bull@*#&. How can these people sleep at night?
