what airlines give free tickets for flight?
Re: what airlines give free tickets for flight?
I don't know if you have medicaid or not, but if you do you should check with medicaid. They paid for plane tickets, food, and hotel bill for my daughter and wife. They will only pay for one parent, but still that is a great help.

How old is Jared?
I think you know your child best. When we went for primary Elizabeth was 4mo. And we did it cheap. We flew directly from the hospital. It was really hard. Northwest was GREAT in getting us the tix, but we had to fly from Houston and then change planes in Minneapolis and then fly down to San diego (9 hours total). Exhausting for both of us. This time Miracle flights is helping us (they are so nice) but we are staying a couple of nights extra as she is now 11mo and squirmy and I want to rest and get comfortable with the splint before we tackle a flight. Just my 2 cents. We have been saving for the hotel for a while but I understand the stress. For us it is the missing a week of work that is putting the strain on us. Good luck.
BTW both times I gave the charity a good month before our trip and did not receive the tix until the business day before we left. They are super to deal with but it took time in our case. So my advice would be not to cut it too close.
Good luck.

if you are going to the camp clinic - then your child will be seen by a doctor - then you qualify for free medical airfare
http://www.injurednewborn.com/maia/travel.html - there is the list of free airfare
Tami Schenck from UBPN can also help you with this
tami@ubpn.org.
Good luck,

Thanks Francine, I hope I get the sponsorship! Do you think should start trying to get the airfare before I know about camp, just to get a head start??? Sandi
