Back from Philly Shriners!

Post by pattisy »

Peyton & I returned from our visit with Dr. Kozin. He is doing wonderfully! Dr. Kozin is pleased with his progress and has given us the go-ahead to resume ALL activities, including skateboarding and snow tubing! Yeah! He also saw his OT who refitted his elbow splint. His elbow extension improved to 15 degrees! His splint is now almost straight! It's so exciting to see the results over the last several months since the surgery! His weekly therapy is reduced to 1x/week for the next month and then every other week for the next 2 months! Then we are done! Peyton got his picture taken with Dr. Kozin to be published in the next national Shriners publication! I am so happy with Dr. Kozin and the Shriners Hospitals for Children. I thank God every day that they are here to help our children.

Hey Mrs. Patti and Peyton!!! What a beautiful Christmas gift. God is so good! Adds to our reasons to celebrate the season. You sound so happy and excited. I do not blame you. I am sure that when Elizabeth and I get back from Philadelphia Shriners Hospital in February we will also be dancing for joy. Isn't it great that Peyton had his picture taken with Dr. Kozin. You could probably get permission to place the picture and article in your local newspaper. When are you going back to Shriners? We will probably be there the third week of February during school vacation. Congratulations on the great news...keep up the good work...Merry Christmas to all...Peace and blessings...Louise

Wow that is great news! I am suprised he will be discharged from therapy. Did they mention going in for evaluations periodically or anything like that? Enjoy your blessings!!!!!!!!!
