We had Mitchell's post-op appointment on Monday and Mitchell is contraption free!! He is in a sling for 2 weeks and then we are able to start therapy.
We are just thrilled with how much of a difference there is already. Dr. Drake was just as pleased. He kind of stood there and shook his head smiling. Dr. Drake had him do all sorts of ranges and Mitchell could do them with no trouble. Then Mitch realized what he was doing...things he was never able to do before...and got the biggest grin on his face and started giggling. It was an emotional moment. Good emotional...of course.
We'll keep you posted with progress.

So glad you had a good trip and that Mitchell is doing so well! It makes me look forward to what we will see for our Caleb.

Missy - this is great news! Everytime someone else writes up another really positive review of osteotomies it helps someone else who is contemplating it for their child. I know all of your posts have helped me trmendously.
Give Mitchell a high five from us! Can't wait to see pictures!
