Hi Leah...
I have gone through so much. In my darkest moments there was always light. Let this site, me, each other be a "Beacon of Light" for all who need it. It is my pleasure and honour to share this passage...to aid in ways that will envoke new thoughts, ideas, inspiration to all. To bring about positive life changes that improve the quality of life for all who seek it.
We only get one life. All of us are rich in Bounty from our God. Our treasures are waiting to be discovered. We are not our experiences, they simply shape who we have become. Embrace everything, for it is what makes us, less than perfect and more than worthy on this day.
Always know that you are never alone..on this moment you are in my thoughts and prayers sweet sister.

In Sisterhood,
With Peace, Light & Love
Mardelle

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: LOBPI. I am 77 yrs old and never had a name for my injuries until 2004 when I found UBPN at age 66.

My injuries are: LOBPI on upper body and Cerebrael Palsy on the lower left extremities. The only intervention I've had is a tendon transplant from my left leg to my left foot to enable flexing t age 24 in 1962. Before that, my foot would freeze without notice on the side when wearing heels AND I always did wear them at work "to fit in" I also stuttered until around age 18-19...just outgrew it...no therapy for it. Also suffered from very very low self esteem; severe Depression and Anxiety attacks started at menopause. I stuffed emotions and over-compensated in every thing I did to "fit in" and be "invisible". My injuries were Never addressed or talked about until age 66. I am a late bloomer!!!!!

I welcome any and all questions about "My Journey".
There is NO SUCH THING AS A DUMB QUESTION.

Mardelle,....(Thanks Scott W.!.....)

Yah, I'm the "self-adopted Gramma for UBPN as I'm always been the oldest on the Boards and at UBPN Camps 2205 &2007 and I'm pretty Bossy sometimes to you "young'uns"!
BTW next Camp will be in 2010. I can't express what coming and mingling at UBPN's Camp does for our BPI-er's Soul, but it IS HEALING in sooo many wazys; doesn't matter if we're OBPI or TPBI....& the kids!!!! to see their eyes light up and look up from the ground.....ohhhhh, just COME Y'all!
