I know this is a bit off topic, but I'm about to take an audition on Monday and I need all the good vibes I can get! It's for the principal trombone job of the San Diego Symphony. It'll be my first professional symphony audition, so I don't expect a whole lot, but I'm going to try to represent myself to the best of my abilities! Wish me luck!

Re: Wish me luck!
Hi all!
Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you.
First of all, THANK YOU very much for your support! It means a ton to me!
I didn't get the job, but I did learn a lot about that process, and I learned a lot about myself in the process, so I have zero regrets, and I'm just waiting for the next opportunity.
While I'm hear, I thought I'd vocalize my plans to everyone that I plan on doing a triathalon sometime in the near future, possibly in November. I'm thinking maybe the turkey trot the day after thanksgiving. I just want to do it for fun, not to compete or anything, but the thought had occured to me that I might at least be able to raise some awareness for Erb's palsy. So in any case, thanks so much for the good wishes, and please, keep them coming for this new project!
Yours,
Chris, 24/LOBPI

- Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: LOBPI. I am 77 yrs old and never had a name for my injuries until 2004 when I found UBPN at age 66.
My injuries are: LOBPI on upper body and Cerebrael Palsy on the lower left extremities. The only intervention I've had is a tendon transplant from my left leg to my left foot to enable flexing t age 24 in 1962. Before that, my foot would freeze without notice on the side when wearing heels AND I always did wear them at work "to fit in" I also stuttered until around age 18-19...just outgrew it...no therapy for it. Also suffered from very very low self esteem; severe Depression and Anxiety attacks started at menopause. I stuffed emotions and over-compensated in every thing I did to "fit in" and be "invisible". My injuries were Never addressed or talked about until age 66. I am a late bloomer!!!!!
I welcome any and all questions about "My Journey".
