Has anyone ever had dealings with Dr Matthew Tomaino who was Chief of Ortho at University of Rochester Medical Center?

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: MVA in 2001, nerve graph in 2002, Median Nerve Transfer in 2004 and an unsuccessful Gracillis Muscle Transfer in 2006. I am living life and loving it! Feel free to contact me :)

I have not heard of him! Are you going to see him? I would be interested if he does Brachial Plexus Injuries specifically. I only looked at his website for a brief moment! If he does, we would love to add him to our medical resources directory!! Let us know how you make out if you go there!

Working through the particulars of getting a referral from my primary care manager. Looks like it will be sometime around 13 July 09 time frame. I sure hope this doctor can at least get my hand to flex and be able to grip things again. I can live with no upward extension of the hand. Will keep everyone appraised as to how this works out.

PS I will say this. When you contact the doctor on his web site, he is the one who answers back and answers your questions. Very personal touch.
